| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Portrait Professional is a software application for Windows or Mac that lets anyone easily enhance photos of people. Portrait Professional has been shown hundreds of photographs of beautiful human faces, and using sophisticated statistical techniques, it has learnt how to subtly airbrush and touch-up photographs to make them more beautiful. This means that Portrait Professional will automatically make hundreds of improvements to your portraits. All you have to do is choose how subtle or dramatic to make each change. However, Portrait Professional will not simply make a person look like someone different. The software has advanced techniques to make the result look completely natural. Portrait Professional allows unskilled users to get sophisticated fully professional touch-up in minutes. For the first time portrait photo software for all! The Studio edition is the premier edition of Portrait Professional, with extra features over the standard version. Portrait Professional Studio reads camera RAW files, supports color profiles for working with calibrated color and supports images with 16 bits per color sample (48 bits per pixel) for more accurate colors.

| Customer Reviews: Portrait professional Studio 9 June 25, 2010 LARS 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had seen the ads in Shutterbug magaizine for months and was intrigued but dubious. Having a notion to give the free trial download a try I was quickly drawn to the ease of seeing the result of the application. At first the portrait adjustments were, in my opinion, much too extreme and fairly unrealistic. There is a learning curve as with all software. Biggest tip I could offer new users is to adopt the "less is more" philosophy when applying corrections. I have discovered that you can take an otherwise mediocre portrait and turn it into a more pleasing professional looking portrait within a matter of minutes. I have no experience with Photoshop as yet and have been using Lightroom2 as my file managment and editing software. Lightroom is a dandy program and I like it alot. I believe I must first learn the nuiances of Lightroom before I jump into the deep cold waters of Photoshop. And as Photoshop will most likely perform to all those other adjustments I might wish to make on a portrait, it seemed a bit far off in the future before my brain was ready to undertake such knowledge. Portrait Professional Studio 9 was/is the best new "touch-up" software to use bridging the gap between Lightroom and Photoshop. It works great! If you take pictures of people....get it, you will be glad you did. You can use the software as a "stand alone" program or you can use it as an editing option in Lightroom. After adjustment in Portrait Pro you can save the file/data as a tiff or jpeg. I would reccommend saving all to a tiff.
I give this amazing software five stars because it works, is very affordable, easy to learn, and it will help build your professional self esteem. Costs less than one thearpy session, not that I have ever been in therapy...got off topic, opps.
Awesome!!! June 24, 2010 george bugarin 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own photoshop CS5 and Elements 8, but this one beats both when it comes to face blemishes deletion, and digital make up. The only con is ... the software is limited to editing face only. If you can live with this concept, you will be happy with this software.
Very easy to install and use.
Great fast easy way to edit portraits March 15, 2010 K. Dyment (Allen Park, MI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this program! It has some sort of new technology to instantly make faces in portraits look perfect. You can change eye color, skin color, make small adjustments on shapes of lips and eyes. It only takes you about 5-10 minutes to perfect a retouch job on any picture with a face in it. This program is NOT a PHOTOSHOP type program. It's only good for retouching photos that have a face in them. But it is really amazing what you can do with this program in very little time. Retouching that could have taken you an hour or more per photo will only take you a couple minutes in Portrait professional. It's really great to remove blemishes and large pores/uneven skin. I love it! You can try a trial version on Portrait Professional 9's website.
