Amazon.com Product Description
Enjoy true-to-life photo quality with the HP PhotoSmart 7350 color inkjet printer. Get up to 4,800 x 1,200 optimized color dpi when using premium photo papers and 1,200 x 1,200 input dpi from a computer, or print directly from digital camera memory cards. From either source, you'll see beautiful photos, thanks to HP's six-ink color system and PhotoRet IV resolution enhancement and color layering technologies.

Print 10 pages per minute in black, 11 pages per minute in color. Print fast, laser-quality black text at 17 ppm with an optional HP 56 black inkjet print cartridge. Print directly from your digital camera memory cards using convenient card slots--without using a computer. Or, simply connect your HP digital camera with direct-printing capability to the front USB port, then print your photos (also without using a computer).

Should you want to, you can easily save photos to your PC and print borderless photos using the 4-by-6-inch photo paper tray and HP premium plus photo paper. Photos from the 7350 resist fading twice as long as most traditionally processed photos, up to 65 years (requires premium photo plus paper and six-ink color printing with the included HP 58 photo inkjet print cartridge).

Other features include a save-to-PC button, HP Memories disc-creator software, auto paper-type sensing, an ink backup printing mode (which completes the print job if the cartridge runs out), a convenient 20-sheet 4-by-6-inch photo tray, and a 100-sheet, 8.5-by-11-inch paper tray. An optional two-sided printing accessory (C8955A#A2L) is supported.

What's in the Box

3 out of 5 stars Beware: Limited Windows Vista support!   February 17, 2008

This is a good printer if you're still running Windows XP or Mac OS 10.4 or lower, but AVOID it if you're using Windows Vista! There are no native Windows Vista drivers for this printer, and the generic Windows Vista drivers for the HP Deskjet series do not include support the memory card reader or ink level monitoring.

5 out of 5 stars Great Printer!   April 18, 2007

But costly in terms of ink replacement cartridges.

We have had this printer for over 3 yrs and works like a charm. It is exclusively dedicated to print photos and it gets a lot of use.

We have not had any problems with it and frankly, for heavy office/document work, nothing beats a laser printer. We have had our Laseerjet4 for almost 12yrs (great work horse). The HPphotosmart prints the pictures as clearly as they are seen on the screen. When comparing a set developed in the lab and the prints made at home, we are very pleased with the details and quality.

The ink cartridges as stated above are expensive, but even using a refill kit, the results are incredibly good. If you are into refilling it yourself it will cut your cost tremendously.

The "fuzzy" not clear images stated in another post, may have more to do with the resolution of the picture taken by the camera than with the printer. Good software for twiking the pictures is a must.

3 out of 5 stars Didn't last long   April 18, 2007

I loved this printer from the moment I bought it. It was quick and easy to install and the print quality has been awesome in both color, for photos, and black and white. It printed beautiful, professional quality photos. However, the ink was fairly expensive (but I knew this when I bought it.) Trouble is, after not quite 2 years of ownership, it stopped printing black! It gives a "replace cartridge" "cartridge failed" error message now and despite trying (and opening) two brand new cartridges nothing works. Repair would be more expensive than buying a new one. I'm very disappointed in the longevity of this product but it was great while it lasted.

4 out of 5 stars Ran a great race, but died in the backstretch   April 7, 2006

I bought this printer new almost two years ago. Great job on photos, good color, tack sharp images. Last week (while printing a text only job) the ink carriage jammed on the left side of the rail. I had to remove the top of the printer to free it. Ever since then, the printer is a wonderful door stop. Local repair/service types recommend, "Buy a new printer." The cost of repair vs. a new printer backs this up. My new Canon i9900 is a dream come true. RIP faithful HP 7350.
