Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Tokina AT-X 107 DX is a full-frame fish-eye lens that gives the photographer a field of view with dramatic curvature of field or Fish-Eye effect. With this lens an entire view or vista can be captured, wider than the human eye can see. The AT-X 107 opens an entirely new dimension of photography. The front element of the AT-X 107 DX has a newly formulated WR or Water Repellent optical coating on the glass. This new coating makes marks such as spots left by water or fingerprints much easier to clean than standard multi-coating. The rear optical group of the lens contains 1 SD (Super-Low Dispersion) glass element to reduce the number of elements (pieces of glass) in the optical design in order to make the lens more compact, lightweight and faster focusing. Dimensions - Width 2.75 x Length 2.79 (70x71.1mm) Weight - 12.3 ounces (350 grams)

4 out of 5 stars the best for the price   December 30, 2008
talal Wotaid (kuwait)
It is the best fisheye for the price the quality is 100% color and every thing
I had fun using it fast focus I recommend it for every one ((ammeter or pro))
Although I had one problem with it. It is too hard to fit it to the camera I bought 2 lenses
For 2 cameras {canon 400d and canon 40d} and I faced the same problem on both cameras
You will have to use force to fit them. Also I faced the same problem on the lens cap it too hard to remove and put on
Other then that the lens is 100% perfect I uploaded some pics I took with the lens and you can visit my web page

5 out of 5 stars I love this lens   February 15, 2008

Great lens for anyone who wants a fisheye effect. Happily, if you don't want a fisheye, you can adjust the focus so the picture has a wide-angle -- but isn't distorted. Great product.

5 out of 5 stars Tokina 10-17mm DX af Nikon F mount   December 14, 2007

Works great with my Nikon D200, even with the SB-800 flash.
(mentioned a flash, due to the review stating the Canon mount version didn't work with the flash. It meters greats with the Nikon mount).
There's not too many fisheyes on the market that have a variable focal length of 10-17mm with AF. It's a great fisheye effect even with the 1.5X crop factor on some DSLRs like the D200, and even cooler when you can zoom to 17mm with the same lens, and take a photo with only a little barrel distortion. I have also used the Tokina 12-24mm af AT-X pro, and the color representation and sharpness in the photos were great, just like this one.

3 out of 5 stars A Mixed Bag   August 26, 2007

Pros:
- This lens is very well built. It feels solid.
- For the price, it goes to F3.5, which is as good or better than similarly priced lenses.
- I wanted a dramatic fisheye effect and this lens certainly delivers.

Cons:
- When used with a camera like the EOS 20D, it does not support flashes like the 550EX. The flash simply becomes disabled.

Overall:
If you usually buy L series lenses, you will find the limitations of this lens as a disappointment. However, if you usually stick to the more budget priced lenses, then you will likely enjoy this lens. It is a fine fisheye for the price.
