Amazon.com Product Description
The Minolta 35-70mm f/3.5 to f/4.8 MD zoom lens is a multipurpose lens for non-autofocus Minolta SLR cameras. The zoom range allows for capturing wide angle situations as well as zooming in for close-ups. It is ideal for making quick transitions between a variety of photographic situations without having tochange lenses.

4 out of 5 stars For the money...Killer   May 6, 2007

I got this lens for my daughter. I shoot Leica. We went to Mexico together, did lots of the tourist photos. When we got home we had a one hour lab print 5X7s. For sharpness and contrast it was a near match to the Leica. I can't think of a better endorsement for a lens under $100.00. Sure the zoom range is limited and it is a bit slow. but the build quality is good and it make fine images.

3 out of 5 stars Its an okay lens at an okay price.   February 24, 2002

Being "old school" I was surprised that its made mostly of plastic (I suppose the benefit is reduced weight and lowered manufacturing costs, at the expense of durability). I guess that I shouldn't be surprised however as my new X-370s body is plastic too (unlike my old XG-2). Outdoor shots are sharp; indoor shots with flash are average. The zoom ring on my lens does not operate smoothly as there's a "notch" at about the 50mm mark. When I say that the price is okay (I paid [price])...
