| Customer Reviews:
Canon PowerShot A480 August 6, 2010 Boogie Down I purchased camera before vacation. It was easy to use, my family really liked the camera. The price paid was reasonable.
WARNING - CAMERA SWITCHES ON EASILY AND WILL RUIN LENS! August 1, 2010 Ryden This camera would be great, except for a fatal flaw! It commonly switches on inside the users' purse, pocket ect, this causes the lens to jam and then the camera does not work properly and makes a horrible grinding noise while turning on. After this event there are spots in the picture, you cannot use the zoom feature properly, and the camera continuously errors out reporting the lens cannot be closed. This has happened to my husband twice! The first time Amazon kindly replaced the camera, but he has yet to decide what to do about the second time. This has also happened to me, although my lens was not damaged, thankfully. This really would be a great camera if not for this problem. The on switch should be a dial you have to turn, not a pressure sensitive button.
The camera otherwise takes good photos, pretty easy to use, decent battery life ect. But sorry, can't recommend something that self destructs within minutes of purchase.
