Product Description The FE-310's ultra-compact lens is made from precision-crafted glass that puts you 60 percent closer than a 3x zoom. Face Detection tracks your subjects' faces within the frame and automatically focuses and optimizes exposure for sharp, brilliant portrait pictures. Digital Image Stabilization helps prevent camera shake and fast moving subjects from blurring your images. Get sharper images with high ISO and fast shutter speeds. Always get the best shot with 17 Shooting Modes. The preset Shooting Modes optimize your camera's settings for sharp, brilliant photos. Capture your fondest memories in full motion using AVI Movie with sound. Get superior image quality with a high-resolution 8-megapixel CCD. Make large prints, or even crop, without losing detail. 2.5" LCD provides easy composing, shooting and sharing of your images with friends and family. Using a live, multi-frame window on the LCD, Perfect Shot Preview lets you see the effects of exposure compensation before you shoot, so you can capture the perfect shot. Excellent for the money December 22, 2008 Dave Lansing (Toms River, NJ) Sounds like some people have models that drain batteries severely, but most digital cameras are rough on Alkaline AA's. I got it cheap and took it to the bar last night and was happy. I went through about 75 shots and had to change batteries, that is good enough for me. It holds around 450 pictures with a 1G XD card. It has features that cannot be beat with all the shooting modes. So far the only setting that loses its' preference when the power is off is the flash mode (auto flash, red-eye, constant, or off). For the money, this is a good entry lever camera.
Gave it as a gift and they seem to like it. December 16, 2008 Mac Man Don't really have much to say about it since I am not using it but the price was good and the features were right. I can tell you to not put cheap batterys in it but other than that it works fine.
