5 out of 5 stars Great camera   August 29, 2008
T. Walker (Oklahoma, USA)
I'm a hobbiest/pro photographer.Going on vacation I did not want to drag my large/heavy canon lens around. I am picky enough that I still wanted quality pictures. This little camera is great. The large screen is worth the money. The controls are small and a little slippery(the rotating wheel) but once you are used to it you can quickly change settings. There are many features I will most likey never use but with some creativity you could have fun with it. I had no trouble with battery life. I took around 850 pictures in 10 days so it was used a lot. I had to charge every night but it took pics solid all day on one charge. (I did not use flash very often)Get a car charger. I have a universal charger that will charge the batteries for both my cameras while on the road.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, excellent value   August 29, 2008

Works as advertised, takes great pictures and decent video. As with any camera nowadays, there are more features than I know what to do with.

5 out of 5 stars Hooked on Canon Digital Elphs   August 27, 2008
Brandon Harris (Austin, TX)
I upgraded to this camera from the SD450 after it was dropped and refused to operate correctly. This camera is exceptionally stylish, all buttons are inlaid and cut from the body. It fits very nicely in a pocket.
The picture quality is a jump from the SD450, which suffered from a focus issue. I have not taken a single out of focus picture with this camera. The response time is what you would expect from a digital camera, I don't know if there have been any advances in this area, this is purely a limitation of the flash card.
If you are looking for a camera to take along with you, this is a great choice.
